London 2012 Paralympics — Sports doesn’t care who you are. This video wrecked me. It makes me realize how pathetic my excuses are. When I’m in the gym, I run this video through my head. These athletes don’t make excuses — they just do it. That’s what I’m trying to master in my everyday life.

Nike Greatness commercial. Simple, but so true. Greatness is not in our DNA: it’s something that is earned, and attainable by anyone. Define your greatness, and go get it.

Are there any videos that move you? I spent about an hour or two watching videos of these types. There are so many people out there living up to their full potential and abandoning self-defeat. Look at what they accomplish. They seem invincible, yet they are human like you and I.

My blog is focused on adapting to a mindset that helps abandon self-defeat. This is an everyday struggle, I’m sure, not just for us but for the people in these videos. It’s a choice that they make every morning.
